Bio:
Having worked as a daycare provider, I know how much kids would love to watch a caterpillar transform into a butterfly, if only they had the opportunity to. That is something I enjoyed every summer of my childhood around our neighbourhood frogpond.

ABOUT THE URBAN INTERVENTION

From 1 p.m. — 5 p.m. on June 3rd, 2017

Pollinators are so important to our world. Our event will create an opportunity for children to learn about this, and to experience firsthand how a caterpillar transforms to a butterfly. We will have 30 caterpillars on hand for children to take home. Each will be in its own little abode with enough food to last it until it makes it chrysalis and transforms into a butterfly.

Location: Duchy's Hole Park, south of Strathcona Park

These materials will be part of my intervention:

Live caterpillars, information about their care and more general information about pollinating insects and their place in the ecosystem and the threats they face.

It would be great if participants can bring with them:
