ABOUT THE URBAN INTERVENTION

From 10:30 a.m. — 2 p.m. on June 3rd, 2017

We take our students outside and into nature on a regular basis because we know what the research reveals; student learning improves when they spend time outdoors.

On Friday, June 2nd, come visit our Loose Parts Adventure Playground we set up on our school grounds and see how everyday objects are used in new and imaginative ways. Or take a short walk with us to our nearby nature Forest School setting right here in our community. You will see students cooperating, problem-solving, developing resilience and other 21st century skills.

Location: Meadowlands Public School, 10 Fieldrow St, Nepean

These materials will be part of my intervention:

Natural loose parts (e.g., sticks, logs, clay, string, etc.)

It would be great if participants can bring with them:

Hat, sunscreen, water bottle
